In a world where the concept of dreams is foreign, Failing to Fathom follows the story of Rachell Rohara, a college student who one night wakes up in a different reality and has a surreal experience we tend to call dreaming. Visit the city of Splu'jalova where you will meet many unique and/or memorable characters, whom you can build your bonds with any way you like.
Failing to Fathom is a game structured around the butterfly effect and thus every choice you make will impact or alter the storyline to your liking/disliking.
The gameplay of Failing to Fathom is pretty cut and dry. You simply read a lot and watch scenes of your favorite characters unfold while making the best of decisions.
The game contains things that are meant to disturb or unease you, but everything is probably a dream after all, so don't worry.
This is my first attempt at making something creative and I have basically no prior experience with writing or game development, so bear with me on this one. The game contains many of my favorite elements from the games I cherish the most with my fair share of twists and turns that make it my own. I hope you will give it a try and come along with me on this path of endless bewilderment.

Is it possible to download from the app in the future?
I don't know if that's possible with Ren'Py (the engine I am using) and it wouldn't be something high on my priority list to figure out anyway. If I randomly stumble upon a way to do it and it's not a headache, I'll do it, but yeah, no promises.
Depends on what you define alive. I have not worked on it extensively on it for a while now, yes, but I have not cancelled it. I will eventually properly get back into posting updates, but I've had a lot going on and whatever I have made regarding FtF is not something I am particularly proud of, so I simply chose not to post updates I consider half-assed. Hope that answers your question.

I just did and thank you for the feedback first of all! It means a lot to me when I get to hear some opinions from players.
On the subject of partnering, or anything along those lines, I'd say I am more inclined to do this solo, especially given the fact this is a project I am only working on in my free time. Given how I am approaching the game as of now I don't need any help with making it and translating it is irrelevant given how small and early in development it is right now. I hope you understand and don't take this to heart.

Oh and before u say anything, no I have no idea how to do anything even Translations and stuff, plz don't get angry I'm still a beginner or a novice I guess, although I can very well send u the texted conversation between the characters through a pdf, that way u can copy and paste the thing, oh and I won't delete it just in case and we can make a good team.......probably ?
I let's say am a novel writer, sometimes I do art too but art takes a lot of time, I am not saying this because I think it's easy to do this but because I honestly work on something too, I don't care about the pay but I may be taken for granted in the future if......... 'if' I were to work with u all, I can at least help with the translations for now and adding necessary words or removing them but if possible I would love to work with u, even if u don't look at this post, it's ok I will wait : )
This is my first time playing a horror and romance genre after lessons in love, I am honestly quite happy at your work, u are not rushing at all and adding the required scenes one after another, tbh I only have my phone with me and I'm gonna get a laptop in a few months, I wanted to know if it's possible to contact u or others regarding about taking part in creating either the translations or helping with the game

Yes, yes it is. I am passionate about this story and I wouldn't abandon it, but due to some complications development has been halted for some time. I am however still working on this project from time to time albeit not being consistent. I can't say for sure when I will be done with the next update because I am terrible at time management and thus would rather not make promises I am unable to keep.
I am having a problem where it says that I can't open the file on android

Hey there! Thanks for leaving a comment and feedback. I am sorry to disappoint you, but the game will feature very few and far between erotic scenes, probably one every update at most. The game heavily revolves around the story and adding h-scenes where they don't fit purely for the fan-service is something I am not willing to do.
The dialogue being the way it is is a design choice. If you pay attention to each character individually and the narration then you can see that I am capable of writing more elaborately but I choose not to. This will become clearer as to why gradually as the game progresses.
Regarding the patreon question: I am gonna start a patreon when version 0.2 comes around and it will feature a tier that will come to (hopefully) satisfy your fetishes in the way of monthly requests (basically you can ask me to make a scene on demand and I will try my best to make it look good; please keep in mind that I am very new to game development and anything of sorts so don't expect anything breathtaking), since the game itself will mostly feature vanilla stuff.
What I mean by disturb and unease is mainly unsettling scenery and/or sensitive topics. Telling you anything more would spoil the game itself, so apologies for the vague response.
